انسان همواره در کشاکشی پایان‌ناپذیر با جهان و زیست‌بوم خود قرار دارد؛ کشاکشی که در جریان این تعامل دوسویه، معنا می‌آفریند. گاهی این معنا به صورت خاطره‌ای در ذهن یا زخمی در ژرفای احساس نقش می‌بندد و گاه، بی‌واسطه و نامحسوس، ردپایی ماندگار بر چهره‌ی محیط اطراف به‌جا می‌گذارد.

Passage
Humankind is perpetually engaged in an endless struggle with the world and its habitat—a struggle that, through this reciprocal interaction, gives rise to meaning. At times, this meaning takes shape as a memory etched in the mind or a wound carved into the depths of emotion. At other times, silently and imperceptibly, it leaves a lasting trace on the face of the surrounding environment.

یکی از مناظر طبیعی شهرستان ریگان تپه‌های شنی آن است که با وسعت 30 کیلومتر مربع و ارتفاع 75 متر در نوع خود بی‌نظیر است. ریگ‌هایی که در گذشته به آنها ریگ‌های دهلی می‌گفتند که صدای آن اهالی روستاها را به سمت خود می‌کشید، وقتی که مردم روستاها مناسبت‌های مختلفی داشتند و امکان برقراری ارتباط در کوتاه‌ترین زمان وجود نداشت، جارچی‌ها بر بلندای این تپه‌های شنی رفته و اهالی را با خبر می‌کردند

One of the natural landscapes of Rigan County is its sand dunes, which are unique in their kind with an area of 30 square kilometers and a height of 75 meters. These dunes, which were previously called Delhi dunes, attracted the attention of the villagers. When the villagers had various events and there was no possibility of communication in the shortest time, the messengers would go to the top of these sand dunes and inform the people.

تجربهٔ زیستن در دنیایی که عاری از حس بینایی باشد٬ تجربه‌ای بس سخت و دردناک است و درکش برای هر انسان بینایی تقریباً دور از دسترس است. تجربه‌ای که آغامحمدخان قاجار برای خیلی‌ها در کرمان رقم زد. عکس‌های مجموعهٔ حاضر که با چشمان بسته گرفته شده‌اند٬ بخشی از تجربهٔ نابینایی را برایم قابل‌درک نمود.
